There are tons of videos on YOU-TUBE how to build the interior of a vintage trailer. Maybe I’ll come back and post all that later. </font></p> <p><font size="3">But I do have these pictures available in one place so I’m writing this post about the cushions. </font></p> <p><font size="3">Our dinette seats are about 25 inches deep from the back to the front. I found some cushions that were about 27 inches. There were five cushions total. I needed there to be enough to span the dinette area while in sleeping mode to make a comfortable bed. </font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tQvz-BZBwGE/WAbqW4DQbnI/AAAAAAAASYY/Y4Ar3ViiF-0/s1600-h/image%25255B15%25255D.png"><font size="3"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SbiLs5yeqHw/WAbqX5--pVI/AAAAAAAASYc/cquXF5EgH-o/image_thumb%25255B5%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="435" height="454"></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">This photo shows how the cushions fit together after I laid them all out and marked them with a sharpie marker and then took measurements to get the configuration that I needed. Some still have the slips on them that they came with, while the white ones have been stripped and cut (with an electric carving knife) </font></p> <p><font size="3"></font> </p> <p><font size="3">Below, shows the two back cushions (one for each side of the dinette. They’re not perfect around the zipper area, but that part will be tucked out of sight and not noticeable. I used the zipper placard from the original slip covers—rather than cut the zippers out to or buy new. I just cut the whole placard away and re-fit it to my new drop-cloth slip covers. <em>Work smarter, not harder. </em></font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3lctso9lg9M/WAbqZBbYXaI/AAAAAAAASYg/_3qYu-ubpt4/s1600-h/image%25255B16%25255D.png"><font size="3"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wfSSB_Hxris/WAbqajTjOpI/AAAAAAAASYk/kgRpXkfR_fQ/image_thumb%25255B6%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="416" height="454"></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">In the next photo you can see them in place on the curb-side seat of the dinette. I had two velour avocado green place-mats that I cut open and turned into lumbar/lounge pillows for the camper. I like the pop of color that they add! I do like the look of the drop cloth slip covers, but I want bright and cheerful colors inside the camper. </font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-s-kDve8B_vw/WAbqcfyZ7lI/AAAAAAAASYo/Hx80X_5dhxc/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><font size="3"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SqB0_7JcL70/WAbqdWbkieI/AAAAAAAASYs/DwWU9J8SlQI/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="454"></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">You can catch a glimpse of the curtain for the potty closet here. I am really leaning toward a bohemian style—bright and cheerful color palette. I’ve said all along, I wanted turquoise/aqua; orange; and chocolate. The avocado green is a surprise color that just keeps sneeking into the camper. That’s ok. It really is my favorite of all colors! (anyone that knows me well, can testify to that!) </font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pM-XXaQQfzw/WAbqe8GW2RI/AAAAAAAASYw/BZXKG1Y--3U/s1600-h/image%25255B18%25255D.png"><font size="3"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O5tTcNr2D5U/WAbqf--vbYI/AAAAAAAASY0/ugDo9TS5nbY/image_thumb%25255B8%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="345" height="454"></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">This is looking toward the dinette from the rear of the camper. There is that little bit of green up on the shelf… how’d that red get in there? LOL… I haven’t come across anything to remake liners for these baskets yet. As soon as I find the perfect piece of vintage-y look fabric, I’ll sew them up! </font></p> <p><font size="3"></font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pLHTjvvYTDs/WAbqhb-NA-I/AAAAAAAASY4/k_MEBcE1Qr0/s1600-h/image%25255B19%25255D.png"><font size="3"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O401TiRyEJU/WAbqiY_4Q-I/AAAAAAAASY8/1IkBT4A04Ys/image_thumb%25255B9%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="454"></font></a></p> <p><font size="3">You may be wondering what that is that <em>PSYCHO-DELIC GOODNESS </em>on my drop-cloth cushion slips!? I told you I wanted some color. So I did a little bit of an experiment…but only on side. <em>I like having options.</em> </font></p> <p><font size="3">Here is what I used:</font></p> <ul> <li><font size="3"> a yard stick </font></li> <li><font size="3">FIVE sharpie markers, (black, blue, aqua, orange and lime 3pack)</font></li> <li><font size="3"> rubbing alcohol</font></li> <li><font size="3"> an eye dropper</font> and</li> <li><font size="3">an iron</font></li></ul> <p><font size="3"> I drew my lines in a pattern that I wanted… (first I tested this out on some scraps and I liked the pattern, so I just copied it!) </font></p> <p><font size="3">Then I squirted (with an eye dropper) the alcohol all along the lines and let the colors bleed out in a random fashion. After it dried, which only took about an hour for the whole thing… I ironed each cushion to SET the color. Voi`la! </font></p> <p><font size="3">Cheerful, happy, bohemian… <em>HIPPY </em>COLOR!</font></p> <p><font size="3">**The best part about the whole thing? We finally got the electrical hooked up to the camper,so… I did the coloring all right there inside the camper! I did the sewing inside… over the course of a couple of days. <img class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile" style="border-top-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-right-style: none" alt="Winking smile" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AUn3BMh0qrQ/WAbqi8wi3EI/AAAAAAAASZA/i35eNantCbs/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800"></font></p> <p><font size="3">Hope you like it!</font></p> <p><font size="3">Grace and Peace</font></p> <p><font size="3"></font> </p> <p><font size="3">** PS: if you’re interested in seeing more photos of the camper I have an INSTAGRAM tab at the top and you can click #lilcamperthatcould </font></p> <p><font size="3"></font></p>Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6038210488356703426.post-24033072395078934692016-10-16T18:27:00.001-05:002016-10-16T18:27:05.250-05:00Nit Picky Details<p>We bought a $10 box of floor laminate that look like floor planks… and that is what we are using on the kitchen counter and table in the dinette (not pictured).<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MFXitMtHrDw/WAQMlssBiII/AAAAAAAASXY/pl3mrGMVdSg/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><img title="Okie Camper Trailer" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="kitchen-floor tiles" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-GYI2363iTqQ/WAQMmhQnm4I/AAAAAAAASXc/O_K0ZZ1qjT4/image_thumb%25255B9%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="366" height="454"></a></p> <p><font size="3">The Vent box has been the bane of our campering existance… seriously. An IDENTIFICATION on the Camper-<p><font size="3">About three weeks ago The Honey and I decided we were close enough on the make-over to put some paint on our camper. </font></p> <p><font size="3">He had power washed the entire outside prior to hitting it with a D.A. sander. </font></p> <p><font size="3">I came outside to have a look…and there was one spot I have always been curious about; it had left a rectangular patch on the rear of the camper. I knew there had to be a decal there at some point. </font></p> <p><font size="3">This day after he had sanded it down some, I looked up and very faintly, I could see this image. </font></p> <p><font size="3">This photo has been enhanced with filters so that the image would be more clear for you! (you can thank me later…he he he) </font></p> <p><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-C1fAulXUuRc/WAQICb-BWYI/AAAAAAAASWk/CG3on1PK37w/s1600-h/image%25255B3%25255D.png"><img title="Okie Camper-Trailer" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="decal residue" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JXY0tEoR1jM/WAQIEMJTSTI/AAAAAAAASWo/m_EEESY-yLQ/image_thumb%25255B1%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="454" height="338"></a></p> <p><font size="3">Elation and Celebration ensued! The Make and Model tag, model number or any identification marks were no where to be found. I was a little disappointed. Then we began rebuilding. </font></p> <p><font size="3">The Honey put some framing pieces in thinking we’d just build around them and we’d never see them. I went along with the idea because I’ve NEVER done this before, so what did I know? <em>cool, we’ll just build around it. </em>Four years later… this bed area is built and paneling is up and this <strong>IS A PROBLEM! </strong></font></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7ukLKDGoW3s/VgGU84RhiLI/AAAAAAAAQ68/PJMLr4Kq-2I/s1600-h/image%25255B14%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-eudUuFjDP3o/VgGU-R-4lFI/AAAAAAAAQ7E/iiUUenGTrmw/image_thumb%25255B4%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="428" height="342"></a></p> <p><font size="3">As you can plainly see, we DID NOT build around that 1x3. I have the original screen frames that will go on all the windows on the inside…<strong><em>except this window</em></strong>. I just didn’t like it and wasn’t happy with it. Yes, I’m that kind of woman. The kind that goes along with your ideas, but in the end… makes you change it because I really didn’t like it in the first place. I’m not proud of it. It’s just who I am. </font></p> <p><font size="3">It did help my case when we noticed a little leak. {she grins}</font></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3YFwXNs73DM/VgGVCYtKqbI/AAAAAAAAQ7M/Y4mDgPYb3Wo/s1600-h/image%25255B5%25255D.png"><img title="image" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; margin: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="image" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PXKQLnnJ5bY/VgGVDmeT3EI/AAAAAAAAQ7Q/Nay5dy8xwqE/image_thumb%25255B1%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="423" height="342"></a></p> <p><font size="3">Out comes the window. The other half, the breaker box will not bee seen. It will be enclosed within the closet.</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana"><strike>Currently,</strike> Well it was a hot mess!</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">Previously,we pieced in small pieces mainly to hold the insulation up while we worked inside. Our thoughts were we’d come back and do a <em>trimmed out board and batten look </em>to this section<em>.</em> It is also where the potty sits. </font></p> <p><font size="3"><font face="Verdana">We still needed to work on the wiring before completion. The more we looked at it, the more we said, <strong>“Lets work on it next weekend.” </strong></font></font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">‘Next weekend’ was this weekend. We took all that small paneling out of there! It’s gone! Then we replaced it with a much larger, whole piece; and went back with some trim over the seams. It <em>cleaned up</em> nicely!</font></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Wm-mGWEHMqM/VdM5fFnSzdI/AAAAAAAAQqU/OGjF13pOv38/s1600-h/image%25255B3%25255D.png"><img title="wall panels" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="#lilcamperthatcoud" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-OHv-asS8Wzk/VdM5g1e64pI/AAAAAAAAQqc/jaCVQmmgbi4/image_thumb%25255B1%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="374" height="454"></a></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">We also had to move the closet we were building. It houses the refrigerator and hopefully, the a/c when it’s all completed. Where did we move it you ask? Just 4 inches to the right. That outlet plug needs to be INSIDE THE CLOSET and not inside the potty area. </font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">We added a door to the front, bottom section; the wheel well is under there and it will be extra storage. The left side of the closet was also closed in. </font></p> <p><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZNpqQC4bWfg/VdM5i3WmwHI/AAAAAAAAQqk/rB9-TdpdO-s/s1600-h/image%25255B7%25255D.png"><img title="camper-wall panels appliance closet and storage" style="border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; padding-right: 0px" border="0" alt="#lilcamperthatcould" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BmEsQ-YBuXU/VdM5kK2WuJI/AAAAAAAAQqs/26cRsgLdB30/image_thumb%25255B3%25255D.png?imgmax=800" width="359" height="454"></a><font size="3" face="Verdana"></font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">Now that is done, we can build the shelf for the A/C with a drain and a pan it needs to be vented outside via the vent you see in the top there (there is a vent behind the fridge,too). Also, this cabinet will be insulated. The compressors for both these units will throw off hot air; there’s no point in trying to cool hot air. Once it’s complete it will be a closed off unit. </font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">I’ll be back to show you the bed/deck and carpeting we purchased to cover the floor and the deck for the mattress. This carpet is made from recycled water bottles. It will look great installed! </font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Verdana">Grace and Peace!</font></p> Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6038210488356703426.post-82160394979806584042015-08-08T14:42:00.001-05:002015-08-08T20:29:26.004-05:00Re-Building with some Salvaged Materials<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Last week… we worked on the bed-frame…and the kitchen. This little hutch is built from salvaged materials. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Dr0O70HcC30/VcZbaCGGZmI/AAAAAAAAQkg/4PiOshnB_oE/s1600-h/DSCF7903%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-33IHBPAIn4c/VcZbbN9HJXI/AAAAAAAAQko/qBnGyqEF7gs/DSCF7903_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="342" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper kitchen rebuild" width="454" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">The Lil’ Camper that Could has been donated lots of salvage perfect for this project! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><u>Doors:</u> from my daughter house they re-did their kitchen 3 years ago before moving into their house. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><u>Spindles:</u> I curb-shopped a demi-lune table a couple of years back. The table has met it’s purposed and is now part of the camper!<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lqBpjj5EB9M/VcZbctFANsI/AAAAAAAAQkw/oAhyXcTJOX8/s1600-h/DSCF7901%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="#lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vGvbOqmyYUw/VcZbdzfMd5I/AAAAAAAAQk4/FYZSOyK6-yo/DSCF7901_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="342" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper rebuild salvage materials" width="454" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><u>Wall Panels:</u> paneling from the daughter’s home, flipped to the wrong side. (to be painted)</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><u>More panels</u>: Some of them weren’t salvageable as a whole… so we have been ripping them down to 2 inch strips for trim! (seen above/below along the seams)</span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DwEoot3qoOc/VcZbe795LEI/AAAAAAAAQlA/JU7Tj1RCcJA/s1600-h/DSCF7897%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="#lilcamperthatcould" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UBW-lPsNbpg/VcZbf4kqbQI/AAAAAAAAQlI/OiggR0Am7ek/DSCF7897_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="342" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper rebuild- salvage materials" width="454" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We built an open shelf along the front. Also, installed new plugs and a breaker box… pictured below. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">The white vinyl panels are what we <strong>did NOT</strong> tear out. My plan is to cover the ceiling in a new vinyl contact paper that is decorative. But first, I washed these down last week… they were pretty grimy! **See below for the before… very grimy!!! I will cover this after the painting is done. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-iHoQY1FTE_I/VcZbhXm0QrI/AAAAAAAAQlQ/8fDBkEFvWJA/s1600-h/DSCF7871%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="#lilcamperthatcould" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QcdqSLDSnKI/VcZbiW5uAxI/AAAAAAAAQlY/xLhA1T5Kmyw/DSCF7871_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="342" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper salvaged panels" width="454" /></a><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We are still searching for <a href="http://lil-camper-that-could.blogspot.com/p/identification.html" target="_blank">DATE/ MAKE / MODEL of our Lil’Camper…</a> I was told to check the breaker box. We did…only found the serial number for the breaker box. Anyway… we were shopping for new breakers and a very knowledgeable older gentlemanly sales clerk told us that our breakers are an after market part now. …AND VERY PRICEY. $45!!! hold the phone! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">** an interesting note though, he shared that the breaker and the box that we have was from a company that closed in the early 70's (like 1970 or 1971) That means, my camper is probably a '60s model! So...we're getting closer! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Back to the breaker box-- </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">I’m using lots of salvaged and repurposed materials that are FREE-DOLLARS; however, I have been shopping. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Mostly inside pretties… chocolate, turquoise, some tangerine… It’s going to be pretty! </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Monday evening after the Littles all went home… Honey and I went outside to wash the camper down.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"> <a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Rv2rCTqUwIE/VcI2LkGxLNI/AAAAAAAAQgk/iEETO6axWvY/s1600-h/DSCF7891%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img alt="lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7Pje6HTvPuA/VcI2M768aeI/AAAAAAAAQgs/Jf_QS_mKGOU/DSCF7891_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="341" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="washed the camper" width="454" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We’re not yet close enough to get it painted. But since getting the top sealed…we haven’t washed it. We’ve had a few smaller showers right after sealing it; and checked for leaks then. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We’ve got no leaks! BIG EMPHATIC YEAH!!!! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">The front panel under the windows will hopefully be replaced this next weekend. He is going this week with his brother to get the sheet metal to replace it. It’s the worse panel on the entire camper. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Dented, torn, past the point of repairs and no amount of LIPSTICK will make it look any better.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"> <a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jd7rw_vtFmc/VcI2OW2ADnI/AAAAAAAAQg0/QcXT1JlZluM/s1600-h/DSCF7892%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img alt="lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Dmw9QCy_oTw/VcI2PQqxMlI/AAAAAAAAQg8/W5XdVz4Rkwg/DSCF7892_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="341" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper-damage front panel" width="454" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">After washing—and getting the dirt and moss, yes! moss had started growing on it before we started the installation of work… anway, with all the debris washed away, we’re able to see the paint a little better.</span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dHIddn0bK18/VcI2SRJUjHI/AAAAAAAAQhE/jHqUkdv6aOk/s1600-h/DSCF7893%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img alt="lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-aK2fLUvfLec/VcI2T0uwg-I/AAAAAAAAQhM/F-KfPQoRcgk/DSCF7893_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="341" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper paint peeling" width="454" /></a><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">It looks as if we may be able to remove the worst of it with a POWER WASHER. The paint is very dry and scaly. A lot of it came off with our brass nozzle. I think if we use a pressure sprayer—paint removal should go pretty easily.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"> <a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7AnfZ0LAreE/VcI2VsE1zYI/AAAAAAAAQhU/DLNb2v47asY/s1600-h/DSCF7874%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="lil camper that could" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LGStF393fL0/VcI2WeXdJ4I/AAAAAAAAQhc/EC2TPngYkoA/DSCF7874_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="342" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper small door knob" width="454" /></a></span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">This past weekend, we hit a few yard sales in our area, and found a small, door knob, still new and in the box. It doesn’t protrude like the average household door knobs. The keys were included. Sorry, it’s a little blurry, but you get the idea! <strike>Brushed Nickle… </strike></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strike><br /></strike></span>

<span style="font-family: Verdana;"><i>** edited to say: I grabbed this from the garbage and snapped a picture. Apparently, NOT brushed nickle; instead it's Stainless Steel Finish. I bought it at a yard sale... but it came from Dollar General. It is the perfect size. </i></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana;"><i><br /></i></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">I like it! It will look so much better after the whole thing is painted. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">This weekend we worked on the trailer. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">A couple of weeks ago—<a href="http://corninmycoffee-can.blogspot.com/2015/05/new-vintage-door-and-story.html" target="_blank">we bought a door off a man,</a> that had various trailer parts in his back yard. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;"><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HG4qwqr00GM/VX9COl_HCXI/AAAAAAAAPiU/4WjGBAkQAmM/s1600-h/image%25255B16%25255D.png"><img alt="camper door fitting" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZXJMCkT9zbw/VX9CQS6hmkI/AAAAAAAAPic/WKuUR7SJFYI/image_thumb%25255B5%25255D.png?imgmax=800" height="454" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="388" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">This week we modified the door jam and fit the door onto the trailer. The new door was about 1 inch too small lengthwise and width-wise. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">This is what it looked like <a href="http://corninmycoffee-can.blogspot.com/2011/04/haulin-it.html" target="_blank">4 years ago when we <strike>dragged</strike> brought it home</a>! It was a frame with cabinet doors screwed to it. </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-m4iqu1455-I/VX9CR3ZathI/AAAAAAAAPik/tTaMlSqciCg/s1600-h/image%25255B23%25255D.png"><img alt="camper-before" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-osuMc-QMc8A/VX9CTAPbKEI/AAAAAAAAPis/Hq2lCuVUnjE/image_thumb%25255B10%25255D.png?imgmax=800" height="454" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="449" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">Now we have a bona-fide camper door, with window. We’re not finished with it, of course, but I’m so happy to have a it on especially now that it’s supposed to rain this week. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">I put new screen in the screen door and modified the little sliders for the door knob opening. Can you tell what I used? </span><a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-aqKPdlHuC-g/VX9CVHbZBBI/AAAAAAAAPi0/aa9riQTae7w/s1600-h/image%25255B17%25255D.png"><img alt="camper door" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-tAujT0RGnhg/VX9CZi7xrzI/AAAAAAAAPi8/p-61uq3B6kk/image_thumb%25255B6%25255D.png?imgmax=800" height="411" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="-with screen" width="454" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">AN OLD LICENSE PLATE! </span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zcUHWQ4ggAk/VX9CbsNTKgI/AAAAAAAAPjE/Ak_DFke96KM/s1600-h/image%25255B18%25255D.png"><img alt="modified camper screen door" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-B3IN6mlmjoE/VX9CfncpYaI/AAAAAAAAPjM/WnDPAFLrXQ8/image_thumb%25255B7%25255D.png?imgmax=800" height="403" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="" width="454" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;"><em>In case you don’t remember, we have no idea what type of camper this is… make, model, year, etc. Just that it’s a camper. I call it a deer lease camper…because that what it had been used for, for many years. It’ has been VERY USED! </em></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">I said all that to remind you that we’re not going back inside this camper like an original rebuild. It will be modified and styled after our own tastes. Rustic and junky… of course it will be getting purty-fied inside and out… the rustic junky will be the style. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">License plates inserts… fit the bill for that! The door and whole exterior will be getting paint… hopefully soon! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">Lastly, this weekend we had to break down and buy another tongue jack. The one that was on there…just wouldn’t work. It was a hindrance and dangerous! </span> <a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-oS2YYI6R-0E/VX9CisiAn7I/AAAAAAAAPjU/vR_2UWhUzrw/s1600-h/image%25255B19%25255D.png"><img alt="image" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-KGG3OgY2b4M/VX9CmP4ypII/AAAAAAAAPjc/ydONhN1Fthg/image_thumb%25255B8%25255D.png?imgmax=800" height="454" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="image" width="351" /></a><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">I really can’t wait to get to the PURTY-FYING PART! Because while I do want Rustic… I’m not sure I’m comfortable with all the RUST… on something I’m dragging around behind me. Something might fall off! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">I do have some pictures of cutting the door opening and adding new supports for the door. I used the Kreg Jig Jr… for some of this work. I think I’m getting a little bit better with that tool. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">I’ll post an actual in progress post for the beefing up the door jam soon so check back! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">Thanks for visiting… </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Comic Sans MS; font-size: small;">Grace and Peace! </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">On one of our trips – we had passed by a house with a camper in the back yard… it had been heavily damaged. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">I filed it away in the back of my mind and thought I’d go back with my husband to inquire about it. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">The next month. </span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strong>Gone.</strong> </span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">It was disappointing. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">On the way back … the day that I first noticed it was gone. I did see the door and some windows stacked neatly against a fence on the property. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em><br /></em></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em>That was a year ago! </em></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Fast-Forward to this weekend, Memorial Day weekend, 2015—we finally had some cash on hand <em>and a truck</em>. We drove out in the rain—having not been by there in a while, not even sure it was still there. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em><br /></em></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em>But it was! </em></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">I was thrilled. We pulled up and honked (they had a gate) no one came to the door. It was raining… but not too bad, just a sprinkle. For a while we discussed opening the gate and going to the door. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em><br /></em></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em>Hmmm… this is Texas, in the country… and opening another man’s gate to walk up to his house… well, that’s pretty much TRESPASSING here. The Honey said he would go to the door.</em> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em><br /></em></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><em>I stayed in <strike>the truck</strike> </em>…er, get away car! <em>With cell-phone in hand</em>. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">He spoke to the man, who said, “SURE! come on around and have a look at it!” So we did, we waded through the soggy wet grass, in the rain around back to have a look and offered him cash. He said he’d give it to us… but we thought we should pay him something! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">I gave a price and he came back <strong>lower … ?!?!</strong> I thought I was the only person to do that! We met in the middle … </span><span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">and paid him $60! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Not too bad for a vintage trailer door, complete with screen door and frosted window glass! <a href="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lZZt77ZY9Kg/VWKpl_coedI/AAAAAAAAPJA/pSWUXOar1UA/s1600-h/camper%252520door%252520with%252520screen%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="camper door with screen" border="0" src="http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--nuVat1vzuI/VWKpnhoVyoI/AAAAAAAAPJI/ySEARReQ9Ls/camper%252520door%252520with%252520screen_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="269" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="camper door with screen" width="404" /></a></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strong><br /></strong></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strong>It needs a little bit of work; </strong> some trim, door handle, screen door handle… new screen… overall TLC. <em>Paint. </em></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strong><br /></strong></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><strong>It has going for it:</strong> </span><br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Glass- intact and whole</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Screen Door – frame complete</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Metal Sheeting- No Rips or Tears in the metal</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Hinge- Complete</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: Verdana;">Wood frame- solid</span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Right now, the grass is growing, the ground is saturated, we can’t move the trailer to work on it and getting to it is difficult. But, I can’t wait to get in there get this door on it. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We bought this camper 4 years ago…and we work on it off and on… it is definitely a project. I can’t wait to one day go camping and have some fun with it. One thing for sure. We have had some fun with already… and we have some fun stories about putting it all back together! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We got a door, which is hard to come by, if you’re not familiar with VINTAGE TRAILER PARTS AND CRAIG’S LIST, all because we stopped and inquired. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">We laughed about it going home, the rain, the uncertainty, the trespassing… the memories are already being made! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana;">That’s how we got our door!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">‘Til next time, </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;">Grace and Peace</span></div>

<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-CmQ5LZSr6BI/VBR9lP4dbJI/AAAAAAAAM4I/aOQHsI-Dd64/s1600-h/NoGlass2.jpg"><img alt="No Glass" border="0" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-8UQgYejoPl8/VBR9lgyMyPI/AAAAAAAAM4M/PwU2VQUwXdM/NoGlass_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="326" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="No Glass" width="341" /></a><br />
You can see this side window on the left (<em>road side</em>) has a broken pane in the bottom. <br />
<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKAU9od2OxVEs0-YdT0BLqKBGyHHIAuWnFM83wOMZwuTzjNy4IL9MVG9oXE-V04ExtWwsafGpUFgMwZHuZP4xXTyJYG_Co1Ft26wgVtvPwkog6h_KikgyheuhB8v_AXmhT9BciwEyi-gIs/s1600/camper+Aug+2014.jpg" height="290" width="450" /><br />
I am happy for this progress. We have NEW GLASS! <br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-l51jzrj-JfM/VBR9mBfHOVI/AAAAAAAAM4Y/Ku1P_yJK6yo/s1600-h/newglass2.jpg"><img alt="new glass" border="0" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-fgqxRMGH9nc/VBR9nDW6B6I/AAAAAAAAM4g/MJ4SykkAGcM/newglass_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="343" style="border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="new glass" width="261" /></a><br />
This in NOT a cheap installation. The panes are tempered. We measured. Added up how many. Nine were the same size…the two up front, not pictured were a bit smaller. <br />
Our SIL and youngest daughter gifted us with the glass. I’m grateful to them for that! <br />
The Honey attached the lights a few weeks back while I was out for the day, he also put the cargo door back together, added putty tape and reattached it to the camper. I don’t have any close ups of any of this work. <br />
But I wanted to document the progress! <em>Little things, you know! </em><br />
We’ve also had a pretty good rain since making repairs to the roof and sealing the front window frame. I’m happy to report NO Leaks!<em> I have pictures for that and a post coming soon about adding new framing in the roof. </em><br />
‘Til next time- <br />
Grace and Peace! </div>

Or <strong><u>Random Phone Pix</u>…</strong> <br />
Wasn’t sure what to call this post as I’ve already got a TAG title <em>NOT my camper.</em><br />
Very simply—these are pictures of campers, the pictures are mine; but the campers are <em>NOT MINE</em> and they are usually taken AT RANDOM, with my iPhone, when I’m out and about. They are also in various stages of repair. Because the LORD knows—I will pull-over to look at a camper and take some pictures. <br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-b7nKXWuneLw/VAp7BeMe9ZI/AAAAAAAAM0E/xmHU292S7do/s1600-h/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520014%25255B11%25255D.jpg"><img alt="random phone pics 014" border="0" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-3kXh2-XXSSA/VAp7C_bC3rI/AAAAAAAAM0M/6uibGXQRiMA/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520014_thumb%25255B9%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="480" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="random phone pics 014" width="360" /></a> <br />
We are still in the remodel stages of our camper. Little by little getting it done. I see little campers like this, very basic; and it gives me hope and encouragement! <br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-QAb_4ht_67Q/VAp7Edh2CCI/AAAAAAAAM0U/xkGqAG5H4nw/s1600-h/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520020%25255B2%25255D.jpg"><img alt="random phone pics 020" border="0" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-GQe1q9bJWtI/VAp7Fh-1HxI/AAAAAAAAM0c/IN2PUY_F2Yo/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520020_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" height="480" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" title="random phone pics 020" width="360" /></a> <br />
Soon enough we will hopefully be at the PULL-AWAY-FROM-HOME stage. <br />
Looking like this simple beauty--- hauling it down the highway! <br />
<a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-wQJydX1-CGg/VAp7G9ci9HI/AAAAAAAAM0k/mnuTQulu-WI/s1600-h/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520022%25255B6%25255D.jpg"><img alt="random phone pics 022" border="0" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-ziPQjeiPoHw/VAp7IQXW9bI/AAAAAAAAM0s/YUEz9Mbqczk/random%252520phone%252520pics%252520022_thumb%25255B4%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" height="480" style="border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline;" title="random phone pics 022" width="480" /></a> <br />
Until then, <br />
Grace and Peace… </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After about 3 years... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We're finally to point of working on the camper again. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKAU9od2OxVEs0-YdT0BLqKBGyHHIAuWnFM83wOMZwuTzjNy4IL9MVG9oXE-V04ExtWwsafGpUFgMwZHuZP4xXTyJYG_Co1Ft26wgVtvPwkog6h_KikgyheuhB8v_AXmhT9BciwEyi-gIs/s1600/camper+Aug+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKAU9od2OxVEs0-YdT0BLqKBGyHHIAuWnFM83wOMZwuTzjNy4IL9MVG9oXE-V04ExtWwsafGpUFgMwZHuZP4xXTyJYG_Co1Ft26wgVtvPwkog6h_KikgyheuhB8v_AXmhT9BciwEyi-gIs/s1600/camper+Aug+2014.jpg" height="255" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In 3 years, I've still not figured out <b>what</b> kind of camper we have. I've found plenty of campers that resemble it,<i> in size, shape, and possible lay out.</i> <a href="http://littlevintagetrailer.com/2014/04/1965-frolic-with-bathroom-for-sale/">(Like this <b>1965 Frolic</b> @ Little Vintage Trailer)</a> Our camper didn't have any sort of lay out really, except for a 'deer lease' styled bed and plywood shelf ; and one factory cabinet. Other than that-- there are no labels, tags, etc. to give any clues. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our little camper is in such a state-- that the bones are good; but the layout could go just about any way we want it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Being on a tight budget means we can't just run out and buy new. I do a lot of research on line-- looking at options for parts, watching videos of HOW TO's and price checking. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, while we were at the flea market this weekend I knew that <i>six l.e.d. lights</i> for $10.00 was a good price. We also visited ACE Hardware and found a good price- on<b> putty tape</b>. This stuff is so important when installing windows or mounting these lights. Anywhere there is a HOLE and your installing something on the outside...this putty tape needs to seal it so that water STAYS OUT of the camper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOd8bvNykSbnZVZizHiboct9ZW-MKFAMDXDtuUMhkPBk5vF0ODc_Ap1yUkybenNQy19QvHLCxBEKjBLRcJ9tAraQ-I4EMNT1k0mKhCb9sRDKv9Q6CE_0vYVRBI_sf_AGBm_A9bL93S1LFa/s1600/camper+running+lights.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOd8bvNykSbnZVZizHiboct9ZW-MKFAMDXDtuUMhkPBk5vF0ODc_Ap1yUkybenNQy19QvHLCxBEKjBLRcJ9tAraQ-I4EMNT1k0mKhCb9sRDKv9Q6CE_0vYVRBI_sf_AGBm_A9bL93S1LFa/s1600/camper+running+lights.jpg" height="258" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My husband is looking forward again to getting out camper ready for camping. It is down the road a ways still-- but little things are getting done. Even if we are only doing a few small things each week-- it is moving in a forward direction. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Putting these lights on today... really made me smile! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's the little things! </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">This weekend while out toolin' around...actually, coming home from the park for a birthday party... </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">We stopped to look at a camper near our home town. It caught my eye a couple of weeks ago, when I saw it.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"> We are not looking to buy another one--just gathering information for the one we have; and mainly because We still have not identified our camper Make and Model. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">We haven't made much head way in the rebuilding of our camper. Back in 2011, when The Honey had a heart attack; it pretty much but the camper on the back burner! </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">It is still something we want to do; but as it stands...</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">it is empty. Gutted completely. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">The lady that owned this camper said she had just sold a couple of weeks ago and had let the purchaser pay it out! It sold for $800.00 !!! I think she got a very good deal. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Still she was happy to let us look at the inside and since I had my camera with me...she allowed me to take some pictures. </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">It's been a long time since I've posted here... I know. But I've not had much to post. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;">Seeing this "Bell" has me excited to do something with ours, provided The Honey is up to it and the money is there to do it. </span></div>

<br />
<br />
Getting ready to possibly start a few little projects on the camper.<br />
We had a couple of distractions last year-- kept us from working on our little camper.<br />
We recently bought a Kreg Jig jr.<br />
On recommendation from <a href="http://www.myrepurposedlife.net/">Gail-</a>--<img alt="My Photo" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5zH6ScGi_Evse1iMpgmeUVUJxHtj_3zdIb4-SXhfnKdJOnsV6k86yBhXaCS5b-BjTE82h7eFLFX5yETHCYSdIToHJgkv4MYPfYNFVhGXw8CtQon2D_WJy8Owh7GS-JTSxetvIf_LUds6X/s1600/repurposedLife_150static.jpg" /><br />
she said it is a good tool for starters and small projects. So OKAY... that is what we bought.(smile)<br />
<br />
While looking for videos dimenstrating this tool I came across this fella who happens to be refurbishing a camper as well. He made a video...not his best work. But I found it informative.<br />
I thought I'd post it here in case you might be interested as well.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="344" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zzed0czkyzg?fs=1" width="459"></iframe><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
That little Kreg jr. makes short work of small projects.<br />
<br />
Maybe soon I'll be able to post some of my own videos and project completions.<br />
<br />
Grace and Peace~ </div>Patricia @ 9th and Denverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04786692442689958889noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6038210488356703426.post-20654333147813306992011-09-30T09:23:00.000-05:002014-09-01T00:45:24.227-05:00Camper Progress~<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Over the summer we've been busy <i>collecting</i> things for the camper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Early on, I went to a yard sale and found this great 3 burner hot plate for only $20 or $25, I can't remember the exact cost. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We're going to build it in with it's own space and hopefully have a cover over the top for extra counter space when not in use. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdlZPCIEKKPvAAAyFB1Vw1FVECOAvKx5FVpMvb7lhEt-ToSbGZa0KgVzrlX9te9zVQLNVQJrsuixJkd-_3GCACtvmRQXprHsT4DXFcGs1NnbC5M1E6e6QKwtBUYXhWKsyajufcnosjG3FS/s1600/3+burner+hot+plate.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdlZPCIEKKPvAAAyFB1Vw1FVECOAvKx5FVpMvb7lhEt-ToSbGZa0KgVzrlX9te9zVQLNVQJrsuixJkd-_3GCACtvmRQXprHsT4DXFcGs1NnbC5M1E6e6QKwtBUYXhWKsyajufcnosjG3FS/s320/3+burner+hot+plate.JPG" height="227" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The other thing we acquired for the camper was a pretty good stack of plywood. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's all about 1/4 inch thickness or so and will make great cabinets! We've been trying to come up with a floor plan that will work best for our little camper --<i> we still have no idea what type of camper this is or what year. So I'm not certain of an original floor plan. </i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So though it's been too brutally hot here to actually do any real work--we HAVE been busy researching , collecting and laying some ground work! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
AND we still have a shell of a camper. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Grace and Peace! </div>
